Just a few from the big day

As I mentioned earlier, I recently collaborated on a wedding with my good friend, Steve Lott, of Lott's Photography. Here are a few from our efforts:

Collaborations

Sometimes it is fun to hang out with a friend and just take some cool images. A few weeks ago I helped a friend at a wedding that he shot. We had a blast...lots of joking and lots of fun. I thought I'd post a shot of him that I took while he was hard at work. Of course, neither one of us consider photography to be hard work....its what we love...therefore, when we work ...we are having way more fun than the average person on the job. Anyway, here's a shot of Steve...

Stefan & Brent

Stefan and Brent have been best friends for years now.....its like Brent is my second son.
It's amazing to see how much they have grown over the years.

Stefan

Well...I have been meaning to do some shots of my son every since he got his braces off in May. He had them for 3 years, so this was a monumental milestone. We finally did the shots last week, while I was doing a session of his best friend. Take a look at my 15 year old!

Baylee, Audrey, and Wes

I have loved the Centenary campus every since I went there as a freshman.
It has always been one of my favorite places to take portraits.
The Carter kids are not only pretty to look at, but full of life.
It was almost like doing a photo session with my own kids!

My babies

Just some new images of my babies.....all three....they mean more to me than you could imagine.

A weekend get away

It's nothing spectacular, or fancy...it's just a little place south of Castor. A few acres of peace and quiet that we like to get away to every so often.

There is always an opportunity for a few interesting shots.

Dallas bound

Reunion Tower

My husband, son and I recently went to Dallas to visit the Forth Worth Botanical Gardens and Scarborough Faire. We make a trek to the Faire every year...its a tradition. While in town we always try to do something a little different or extra...just to make it more memorable. I always enjoy it more than the rest. You see Dallas is my hometown...there's nothing like the feeling of coming home.

Breaking for reflection

Breaking for reflection...what does that mean?

Lately I have been stepping back and reflecting on why I do this. I've been trying to get back to my artistic roots. Picking up the camera and shooting to capture the beauty of something...be it a flower or park bench or whatever. Taking an image and refraining from doing all the computer generated art...getting back to the beauty of it all.

Why you ask? Simple....to enable me to provide you with beautiful images....the kind that you always hope for when you sit down for a portrait.

Thanks for letting me explore.
